The theme of the 18th YPA workshop is a response to lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic, the return of the Culture of War, efforts to mitigate Climate Change, and the roles of young professionals. Participants will develop their skills to mobilise the resilience of communities to work together in harmony - the Power of Youth to Overcome Hate.
The sessions also include Concepts of Peace, Disaster Resilience, Bioethics, Environmental Ethics, Indigenous Knowledge, Non-government Individuals (NGIs), Global Public Health, Leadership. There will be a side trip to Niagara Falls, and to other places in Toronto.
The registration fee for 5 days and 4 nights full accommodation (shared), meals, travel is USD400 (or CAD equivalent). Please arrive by the 16 September to Toronto International Airport. The first session will be held on the morning of 17 September. The Workshop fee of USD400 will cover twin share accommodation (check in 16th, checkout 21st), meals and travel to Niagara Falls, and an expected excursion to other places in Toronto area.
For those who seek University credit attendance can also be credited for 4 credit hours as postgraduate or undergraduate degrees from American University of Sovereign Nations (AUSN), or credit for continuing professional development.

Background
In 2010 Professor Darryl Macer initiated the YPA and LBD programmes through UNESCO and Eubios Ethics Institute (EEI, an NGO founded in 1990 in New Zealand and Japan), in cooperation with partner institutions. Since then the YPA conferences have been held throughout the world. This is the first one since the COVID-19 pandemic. All participants will be nurtured to develop action plans to build pece across the world.
