Invitations for Papers at a IAB Genetics Network Workshop at the IAB Congress in San Francisco, California, USA, 22-24 November and/or on one of the days before or after that meeting.
Third World Congress of the International Association of Bioethics, 22-24 Nov, Parc 55 Hotel, San Francisco, Calif, USA. Contact: Alex Capron, Fax +1-213-740-5502; or IAB secretariat, Kay Boyle, Fax +61-3-3-9905-3279. 25 Nov. will be a HUGO meeting on ethics and the HGDP and gene patenting. On 20-21 Nov there will be preceding meetings by several IAB networks, the American Association of Bioethics, a symposium on feminist bioethics. So this is well worth attending.
One theme I have suggested is "Bioethics and Population Research; also another session or workshop depending on interests (see renewal form accompanying this issue). Also poster options.
Update on the Genetic Network: The IAB Genetics network home page established in June 1995 includes the addresses of all 97 current members. These members confirmed their membership in 1995, which lead to deletion of about 20 persons who signed up in Amsterdam but did not continue contact. Recently I have found a significant number of persons who do not want their name listed in the membership list, but who want to receive the journal despite interest in genetics (which was the focus of the Eubios network since 1991).
